This was the first time I again ever experienced something different with art in my life. On a side note, since taking Art 110 I’ve been experiencing so much different art it’s been very cool to me. As I walked inside the exhibition, I noticed it was something very different than I would have thought out of an art gallery. It was an artificial bureaucrat’s office and I was I was treated as an immigrant the moment I stepped inside. It was such a weird experience, the first thought I had was to get out but the artist would not let me. I thought to myself the moment this interview with the artist was starting, this was going to be my short story artist conversation. I was interrogated inside there as if I was applying for a green card or to be a citizen in the United States. The artist was the person interviewing me and she was very forceful. There were four chairs and I was sitting in one of them. On the other three chairs were three classmates from my class and one of them was my wife, one of them was my wife’s lawyer and the last classmate was a translator. They were all girls by the way. The artist treated me as if I was an immigrant and she quizzed me on some U.S. History which I barely knew, and I pretty much had to pass these certain qualifications to make me get a green card or to be a citizen of the United States. This was all very surreal to me because I did not know this could be portrayed as art in a way. It was all a very weird experience but something new definitely. I can say that I once again saw art that I have never seen before in a gallery.

( I also could not take any photos of the gallery because it was just an office and I was being interrogated. I wanted to leave as quickly as possible but I did manage to take a picture of the artist’s paper before I left)
